Amid uproar in the Rajya Sabha, PM Modi addressed the Upper House today after the Lok Sabha witnessed the government and the opposition go head-to-head in a debate on Tuesday. The Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die after PM's address.

PM Modi replied to the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address and took repeated jibes at the Congress. He said the party should accept the verdict of people and BJP-led NDA had won its third successive term in office. 

The Opposition cannot listen to replies of questions they raised and can only run away, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today as the Opposition walked out of Rajya Sabha during his reply to the Motion of Thanks to the President's address.

Opposition MPs led by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge walked out after Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar refused to grant him permission to intervene during the Prime Minister's address.
