Indian-origin British MP Rishi Sunak, who spoke to NDTV in May 2015, narrated his father-in-law Narayana Murthy's reaction when he said he was going to join politics. "He was very excited, he was very supportive. I am very fortunate to have someone like him as family and I get the benefit from his guidance, his advice and that's quite special to have his support. I feel very fortunate," Mr Sunak had told NDTV. He replaced Sajid Javid as UK's Finance Minister. A former Goldman Sachs banker, Mr Sunak has been appointed as the second most powerful minister in the British government as Prime Minister Johnson reshuffled his cabinet and Pakistani-origin Sajid Javid unexpectedly resigned.
