The growing disenchantment and rising public anger against the political class stems from the fact that India's rulers have failed to provide good governance to the people. So will the political parties deliver this time? Why inspite of agreeing on police, judicial and administrative reforms none of the political parties have done anything to lessen the bureaucratic burden and simplify things for the common people? What about tackling communalism? Is passing the communal violence bill the answer or as BJP says it will only pander to minorities? And above all, whosoever comes to power, will that party or coalition seriously take up the issue of reforming the system?
