Tonight on The Buck Stops Here:
'If they kill one Hindu, we will....': Cut-and-paste video, says Yogi Adityanath
A political storm has erupted after an undated video featuring Yogi Adityanath, the BJP MP who opened Parliament's Communal Violence Debate for his party, has surfaced in the public domain. The video, described by the Yogi as a "cut and paste" job, purportedly shows the Gorakhpur law-maker delivering an incendiary speech, one in which he vows that for every Hindu converted, 100 Muslim girls will be converted as retaliation. Not just that -the speech ends with him exhorting the crowds - at what appears to be an election rally- "If they kill even one Hindu, we will kill..." and the crowd chants "100". In his interview to NDTV, Yogi Adityanath took questions on his inflammatory speech and whether his rant has cast a long shadow over his own governnment's development chant.
Rajnath row: Trust deficit at the top?
An angry Rajnath Singh has forced the Prime Minister and the BJP chief to come out openly in his support, rubbishing reports of alleged misconduct on the part of his son Pankaj Singh. The Home Minister himself has dared his detractors, saying he will quit politics if any allegation against him or his family is proved. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: is there a trust deficit at the top in the government? Is this a fight for the number 2 spot?
