Water For All: Mumbai’s Big Announcement
For many years, pockets of Mumbai including slums and buildings without an occupancy certificate were not given water connections and had to depend on tankers and buy water separately. All that is set to change from May 1 with a huge decision by the civic body, the BMC, to enable every citizen in Mumbai to have access to drinking water through formal sources. It will impact 20 lakh residents of the city.
