In the sixth phase, eight of Bengal's 42 seats went to polls and reports of violence and unrest have surfaced from Medinipur and Ghatal. Reports of BJP candidates being blocked have also surfaced. The BJP's candidate from the Jhargram Lok Sabha Constituency, Pranat Tudu, was attacked in Garbeta's Mangalapota area in West Midnapore as stones were thrown at his convoy. His car was also vandalized by the mob.
