"When you go to a foreign country, say France, you make the effort to speak French, but in your own country, you don't make the effort - you assume people will talk to you in Hindi," said actor and activist Kasturi Shankar to Abhishek Tripathi, filmmaker, columnist, and BJP supporter on the recent debate sparked by actor Ajay Devgn's tweets on Hindi being India's national language.
