Since 2014, there has been a deluge of opposition leaders who have found home in the BJP, six Congress MLAs from Gujarat being the latest. The BJP now has governments in 18 out of 29 states. With Nitish deserting the RJD and joining hands with the BJP in Bihar, the Opposition seems to have lost the one face that could have led them against the BJP in 2019.
