Five Muslim men arrested from a Garba pandal in Madhya Pradesh's Indore did not commit any crime, and the arrest was only preventive, a senior cop said today. The men argued with the organisers and the police, he said. Abdul, a resident of Indore, said he had been to garba for years and no one ever thrashed Muslims before at garba. "People's identities are being checked. The pandal is happening on the main road, and so Muslims can't go there. People are stopped on the main road. IDs are being check, which has never happened before. We went for garba for years, nobody had a problem before this," said Abdul.
