West Bengal Prone To Violence During Elections?
In the 2016 assembly election and again this time, the authorities have decided on a seven-phase polling for West Bengal as they feel the state has a history of poll violence. In this election, two people have died so far. One, on the spot, and another in hospital from injuries in clashes in the third phase. The worst cases of violence have been reported in the lead up to the polls and immediately after that.
