West takes initiative in smoking ban
Smoking was a style statement in Europe once. The royalty smoked, the artists smoked. Students in classrooms thought nothing about lighting up. It was also the ultimate symbol of the liberated women coming of age. Smoking is perhaps the most politically incorrect gesture in Europe. In most of EU, you could get heavily fined if you are caught puffing in public.
