What Atal Bihari Vajpayee Said to NDTV On Babri Masjid Demolition (Aired: 1992)
In an interview to NDTV's Prannoy Roy in 1992, Mr Vajpayee called the demolition of Babri Masjid "unfortunate". "What happened in Ayodhya on December 6th was very unfortunate. It should not have happened. We tried to prevent it, but did not succeed. We are sorry for that," he said.
