Dr Samir Parikh, Director, Fortis National Mental Health Program at Fortis Healthcare says that the best thing to do while suffering from a panic attack is to immediately talk to someone and distract yourself. Dr Parikh, while talking to Team Banega Swasth India during a Facebook Live, said that it is advised to continue breathing deeply while facing the attack. However, he says, if these episodes continue repeatedly then it could be a panic disorder which is a mental ailment and requires expert intervention.
