Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh, on Buck Stops Here, told Barkha Dutt that while Hemant Karkare was investigating the Malegaon blast, a number of RSS, VHP leaders combined on his radar. He goes on to say that on Karkare's death his first impression was that they have killed him.
