Dr Naresh Trehan, one of India's most respected doctors and founder of Medanta Hospitals, on Monday spoke to NDTV about the coronavirus pandemic.
Here is the highlights of what he said:
We have a war to fight. Absolute alert a must. The government is doing what it can.
It is a great opportunity for public private partnership.
It is a national problem. Need to jump on it harder. No room for complacency.
South Korea did a good job of containing the coronavirus. China had 90 per cent of the cases while the rest of the world had 10 per cent. Now the whole graph has reversed. India must learn from others' experiences and be on alert.
Every Indian must be a part of the army that battles coronavirus. We must take it seriously.
