What Indira Said to Rajiv and Me About Emergency: Sonia Gandhi to NDTV (Aired: 2004)

On the 40th anniversary of the Emergency, a look at what Congress president Sonia Gandhi told NDTV in 2004 about one of India's biggest political crisis. Mrs Gandhi said on NDTV's "Walk the Talk" that her mother-in-law, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who declared the Emergency was "not at ease" with her decision, and that the issue was discussed often at home with Rajiv and Sanjay Gandhi.
