Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) in India has declined to 103 (2017-19) from 130 (2014-2016), as per the Sample Registration System (SRS) Statistical Report 2020. The use of hygienic methods of protection during menstruation has seen an uptick from 57.6% (2015-16) to 77.3% (2019-21) among women (15-24 years), shows the National Family Health Survey – 5.
