Mega mandate on May 23 hasn't stopped the BJP's aggressive push for power, the party is making is back to business. Only today, two TMC MLAs and one Left MLA and over 60 councillors from the TMC joined the party. This follows claims by the Prime Minister no less during election campaigning that 40 TMC MLAs are in touch with him. In Rajasthan, BJP leader Gyandev Ahuja says 25 MLAs are in touch with him. In Karnataka, the Congress-JDS combine has accused the BJP of launching 'Operation Lotus'. There's infighting in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Is it now a new normal in Indian politics to openly make claims of horse-trading? Who should be blamed more for this situation - a weak leadership of the non-BJP governments or the BJP's coup?
