Interference in religion is not okay, say students at a computer centre in Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur. It's not an issue, said another, adding there should not be any discrimination because of this. Some added that it was a "manufactured controversy". The hijab protests began last month at the Government Girls PU College in Karnataka's Udupi when six students alleged that they had been barred from classes for insisting on wearing the headscarf.
