Sir Ian McKellen, who was speaking at the launch of Shakespeare on Film with BFI and British Council, a global tour, and MAMI Film Club in Mumbai, said that he had inhibitions about doing love scenes with a girl. "I felt this was territory I knew nothing about and I couldn't fake." Sir Ian revealed he was gay at the age of 49.
