Where Are The Jobs? Ask Gujarat Voters

The issue of unemployment in Gujarat looms large for the BJP ahead of the election in Gujarat. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress have already made it their election issue, questioning the “Gujarat model” of the BJP, and comparing the employment figures with Delhi. Educated but unemployed young people are forced to take up manual labour jobs at roadside markets and food stalls in the absence of jobs. They say elections in Gujarat are never fought over unemployment.
