"Where's Rahul Gandhi...": BJP Over "Congress's Silence" On Hooch Tragedy

As yet another hooch tragedy shook up Tamil Nadu killing more than 50 people, actor-politician Kamal Haasan met some of those who are undergoing treatment in hospital. An ally of the ruling DMK, Mr Haasan appealed to set up de-addiction centres. The BJP wants the minister in charge of prohibition to step down. The BJP also questioned the silence of the Congress and INDIA bloc on the issue. The BJP asked where is Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, or Rahul Gandhi? "He contests elections just because he is assured that he will win. When Dalits are dying because of toxic liquor, not a statement comes from Rahul Gandhi," the BJP said.
