A new twist has emerged in Maharashtra polls after Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil announced he will be fielding candidates. The activist has vowed to support only those who are committed to the Marathas and his entry into the poll fray may pose a problem for the ruling Mahayuti with many political analysts feeling that the Maratha quota stir played a part in Mahayuti's defeat in the Lok Sabha polls. It remains to be seen who will win the race to woo the Marathas and how much of an impact, if any, Jarange Patil's entry will have on the results of the upcoming elections. Also on LRC, a political slugfest has broken out after a blast near a CRPF school in Rohini with the Delhi CM Atishi blaming the BJP for the alleged rise in criminal incidents in the national capital. The BJP has hit back stating that her allegations were 'immature and irresponsible.'
