Why No Simultaneous Polls In J&K, Questions Farooq Abdullah
National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah on Saturday wondered how the security situation allowed the parliamentary elections to be held in Jammu and Kashmir, but not the state elections. His remarks came after the Election Commission of India skipped announcing the dates for the assembly elections in J&K citing security issues as being the deterrent for the simultaneous Lok Sabha and assembly elections.
