Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Amethi today as part of his campaign for the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh election. Amethi is the former Lok Sabha seat of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who lost to the BJP's Smriti Irani in 2019. Of the four vidhan sabha seats in Amethi, the BJP holds three and the Samajwadi Party one.
