Earlier this week, the story of how Arundhati, an 80-year-old elephant who had been ferrying tourists for over 25 years at the Rajaji National Park made national headlines. The feisty elephant had worked well past retirement age but her health deteriorated suddenly after she got stuck in a swamp a little over a month ago.
