Will differential pricing in diesel work?
At Rs 57 a litre, industrial diesel is not cheap but the government says it had no other option as it is troubled by extensive use of diesel for power generation. "There's so much diesel which is used for some other means like power generation. Diesel is diverted to some other means because it is so cheap," said Murli Deora, Petroleum Minister.
