Will foreign airlines be allowed to own upto 49% of Indian carriers?
Will foreign airlines be able to invest directly in Indian carriers? That's what the government is considering. In an attempt to bail out a bleeding aviation sector, the Ministry for Civil Aviation has suggested upto 49 per cent Foreign Direct Investment or FDI be allowed.
