In this election, one region that has got huge prominence for the BJP is the northeast. Twenty-five Lok Sabha seats in the northeast votes in the first three phases and the BJP wants to win along with its regional partners as many as 22 seats. The responsibility rests with its pointsperson for the north-east - chairman of BJP-led Northeast Democratic Alliance Himanta Biswa Sarma. For the BJP, the road to power this time travels through east and northeast and the task is huge, so much so that Mr Sarma was denied a party tickets for the Lok Sabha and was asked to oversee the campaign. NDTV's Ratnadip Choudhury travelled exclusively with Mr Sarma on his campaign trail to find out why for the BJP this Assam leader is so important.
