Celebrated Indian boxer Vijender Singh has turned professional. This means he will not represent India in the ring anymore. Speaking exclusively to NDTV, the 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medallist explained the reason behind this huge decision. "I will miss fighting for India but professional boxing is the right way forward," he said. "I trained in London and saw the facilities here. It convinced me to take up professional boxing." Vijender also hinted at in-fighting in India's boxing federation as a factor that influenced him to make a move to London.
