Will PM Modi's Tamil Nadu Push Pay Dividends To BJP This Election?
As 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and the lone Puducherry constituency go to polls tomorrow, the southern state, which has so far witnessed a bi-polar contest between the AIADMK and the DMK, is having a triangular contest between the ruling DMK , the AIADMK and the BJP. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the DMK-led alliance had swept the state by winning 38 of the 39 seats. The BJP couldn't manage even a single win in Tamil Nadu in 2019 but is hoping for favorable gains this time. Will PM Modi's southern push pay dividends for the BJP? The NDTV poll of polls has given the NDA two seats in Tamil Nadu with the INDIA bloc getting 33 seats and AIADMK four. Who will emerge as the biggest winner in the state?
