Past few weeks have seen Maharashtra in the news for all the wrong reasons. First the potholes in Mumbai, then Shiv Sena abstaining from no-confidence motion and now the Maratha quota agitation. Many believe that the cumulative affect of all this could see a severe dent in ruling BJP's poll prospects in 2019. However, the one question which remains most pertinent is-will the BJP fight these challenges as incumbent alone or in alliance with Shiv Sena. Tonight on Road to 2019, we discuss the Maharashtra factor, the state which was one the key propellers of the saffron surge in 2014. With the Congress-NCP alliance looking solidly in place, we discuss what will be the impact of Sena going solo, and will the rift in the alliance split saffron votes which will eventually benefit the opposition?
