Last week, superstar Rajnikanth came out in full support for the Hogenakkal Project, which is a scheme meant to provide water to a dry belt of Tamil Nadu. Naturally Tamil Nadu was ecstatic. But in neighbouring Karnataka, where the water source is hotly contested, his fans were livid. A reaction that soon saw Rajinikanth willing to apologise.
