As consultations between the Congress and Sharad Pawar's NCP continue over whether to tie up with the Shiv Sena, the NCP's Mumbai chief Nawab Malik told NDTV, "We are trying to resolve all issues and we want, as soon as possible, government should be there in the state of Maharashtra". When asked whether the Shiv Sena will have chief ministership for the full term of five years, if the alliance were to happen, he said, "Let us discuss, can be".
