Union minster Smriti Irani said after decades the Women's Reservation bill is going to become a reality. For decades women have agitated for a right that is constitutionally given to be on equal footing with men to be law makers, policymakers. Today of all days, when we step into a new building for parliament, I am extremely grateful that the PM has given to the country the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill. The nomenclature itself is indicative of how emphatically the PM has oriented his governance agenda from a perspective of gender justice. I am extremely happy, as Prime Minister had said in his speech in Lok Sabha, 'ki kuch chisen unki kismat me likhi hai'. Some solutions that people have been asking for years on end, those solutions are given by PM Modi and a manifestation of that was seen today.
