The protests in Delhi over the rape of a five-year-old girl in Delhi last week have led to a stand-off between those demanding the police chief Neeraj Kumar be sacked, and the Commissioner himself who says his stepping down will not help matters. This incident has also brought back focus on a slew of measures the government and Delhi's cops introduced, or claimed they would introduce to make the city safer for women, after the gang-rape incident of December last year that saw unprecedented protests across the city. NDTV picked out three of the most high profile measures the authorities came up with and checked how they were doing.
