Hearing a clutch of petitions opposing the release of 11 people convicted of murders and gang-rape in the Bikis Bano case, the Supreme Court said, "So many languish in jail, how come these men were released? Are there uniform standards for release?" The two-judge bench said they will not be emotional and will strike a balance in delivering the judgment.
