Worker-Population Ratio In India Increased Between 2017-2023: Economist
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, leading Economist and NITI Aayog Member Dr Arvind Virmani cited PLFS data to argue that the worker-population ratio has risen in India between 2017-18 to 2022-23 which shows that jobs are getting added faster than the rise in population in the country.
Dr Arvind Virmani also said that India can become the 3rd largest economy in the world by 2026 as it remains largely resilient to the geo-political tensions and uncertainties in the global economy.
