After the Economic Survey for 2013 pegged growth at 6.1-6.7 per cent for FY14, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, says he is not surprised that the finance ministry has decided to go by the estimate by Central Statistical Office (CSO). He adds that the GDP growth for the fiscal year will mainly depend on a bounce in the last quarter. "I don't think the evidence is very strong at the moment that there is a bounce, and that is a disappointment. But working with 5 per cent is not unreasonable," Mr Ahluwalia says.
