As is tradition, the World Car Of the Year top three finalists for the overall crown and the individual categories have been announced at the 2018 Geneva Auto Show. The top three finalists for the prestigious Car Of The Year for the second year in a row are SUVs or crossovers. The three SUVs are the Range Rover Velar, the Mazda CX-5 and the Volvo XC60. The final announcement to crown the winner of the prestigious World Car Awards will be announced at the upcoming New York Auto Show later this month. This year also marked the announcement of the first ever 'World Car Person Of The Year' Award which was awarded to Hakan Samuelsson, President And CEO of Volvo Cars
