World's Biggest Land-drilling Rig Made In India
The world's highest capacity 2000-HP land-drilling rig that can dig upto 6,000m (6 km) deep has been manufactured indigenously in India and is to be handed over to the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation at Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh's Rajahmundry, covering oil and gas prospects in East and West Godavari districts. It is fully automated, so one engineer can operate entire rig. It drills fast, comes with additional safety and easy maintenance features that are expected to be game-changers in the drilling wells technology
