As Cyclone Nisarga bypassed Mumbai in a fortunate turn of events, Managing Director of Skymet Weather Jatin Singh speaks exclusively to NDTV on how the cyclone curve changed last minute and how the frequency of cyclones in the Indian Ocean has gone up. "There were five cyclones in Bay of Bengal last year which is alarming," Mr Singh said. Speaking about Cyclone Nisarga, Jatin Singh said, "The worst is behind us. The cyclone completely bypassed Mumbai and the rainfall patterns show that."
