Justice Santosh Hegde, Karnataka Lokayukta and one of the civil society members of the Lokpal Bill joint drafting committee told NDTV that he would have acted differently vis-à-vis the Bhushans pertaining to the CD controversy. He, nevertheless, added that it was the Bhushans' discretion to decide on whether to continue on the panel.
