Yeddyurappa, family involved in illegal mining: Hegde
Karnataka Lokayukta Santosh Hegde's mammoth report on illegal mining - over 10,000 pages in two steel trunks - has been formally presented to the state chief secretary. The report directly indicts Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa; says he and his family are involved in illegal mining, and that between 2006 and 2010 the state lost Rs. 16,085 crores because of illegal mining.
