Fact:

Vaccines are safe and have been introduced in the country after the regulatory bodies cleared it based on safety and efficacy.

Myth 2:

COVID-19 vaccination will affect the mensuration cycle.

Fact:

COVID-19 vaccines have no correlation with menstruation. The vaccines are safe and tested for all eligible women. A woman can get herself vaccinated any day irrespective of her mentrual cycle.

Myth 3:

Pregnant women should not take Covid vaccines as it will harm the foetus.

Fact:

Pregnant women can and should take Covid vaccine as it will help prevent severe illness and is likely to give some protection to the new-born as antibodies developed will pass on to the foetus through blood.

Myth 4:

 If someone receives the Covid vaccine, they are at a greater risk to become sick from another illness.

Fact: 

There is no evidence to suggest that getting the vaccine heightens the risk of becoming sick from another infection.

Myth 5:

Covid vaccines can cause severe side effects which can result in death.

Fact: 

Any death following vaccination cannot be assumed to be due to vaccine unless investigated by the Adverse events following immunization (AEFI) committe and attributed to vaccination.
