Over 5,000 exoplanets have been discovered and are considered "confirmed" out of the billions in our galaxy alone, as per NASA's Exoplanet Exploration page

Out of these, scientists believe several exoplanets might be habitable in future. So here's a look at 5 most Earth-like exoplanets

Kepler-69C is located about 2,700 light-years from Earth. As per NASA, it is 70% larger than our planet and it completes one orbit every 242 days

Kepler-69c's host star is about 80% as luminous as the sun, so the planet appears to be in the habitable zone. However, scientists are unsure about its composition

Gliese 667Cc is just 22 light-years from our planet and is at least 4.5 times as massive as Earth. It completes one orbit around its host star in just 28 days

However, the planet's true size and density remain unknown, meaning it could still turn out to be a gas planet which would make it hostile to life

Proxima Centauri b is located just four light-years away from Earth, making it Earth's closest known exoplanet. It has a mass that is 1.27 times that of Earth's

Even though the exoplanet can be found in the habitable zone of its star, it is exposed to extreme ultraviolet radiation

Kepler-62f is about 40% larger than Earth and orbits a star much cooler than our sun

However, its 267-day orbit puts Kepler-69f within the habitable zone. It is located about 1,200 light-years away from our planet

Kepler-452b is the first near-Earth-sized planet that orbits around a star the size of the Sun.
