Heartburn is a burning pain in the chest that occurs when stomach acid flows up into the oesophagus.

Alcohol: Any kind of alcohol is not good for your body. It increases acid production and causes heartburn.

Spicy foods: Food with excess capsaicin can trigger the stomach into producing more acid and aggravate reflux.

Carbonated drinks: Soda and sparkling water introduce gas that can push stomach contents upward.
