Named after the 1992 film 'Guna', shot within its depths, the caves were originally known as the ‘Devil's Kitchen'

According to Hindu mythology, people believe these caves were where the Pandavas stayed and cooked their meals, earning them the name 'kitchen'

The origin of the term ‘Devil' remains shrouded in mystery, with some speculating it is liked to the bats inhabiting the caves

Nestled at an altitude of 2230 meters and surrounded by Shola trees and grass, the caves sit between three massive pillar rocks

The gnarled, matted and twisted sets of roots of these trees are spread across the area

Accessing the caves requires daring individuals to cling to two rocks and descend into the deep rock formed by the third rock
