Hike In Milk Price Over The Years

Mother Dairy and Amul have announced Rs 2 per litre hike in milk prices in the Delhi-NCR market

The companies said that prices have been increased due to rise in input cost over the last 15 months

Mother Dairy, which currently sells 35 lakh litre per day of milk in Delhi-NCR, said it had last revised its prices in February 2023

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets Amul, also last increased the price in February 2023

After the hike, Mother Dairy full cream milk will be available at Rs 68 per litre. Amul Gold too will now cost Rs 68

Eleven years ago, full cream milk prices were at Rs 42, indicating an increase of more than 52 per cent

In February 2023, Amul raised prices up to Rs 3 per litre, taking the price of its full cream variant to Rs 66 per litre

A year before that, full cream milk in Delhi-NCR cost Rs 58 per litre

In 2019, Amul hiked prices twice after which its Gold variant reached Rs 56 a litre
