If you're using an Android phone, it's actually pretty easy to recover a lost contact

The first step is to open Google contacts app and log in with the same account linked to the smartphone from which you deleted a contact

At the bottom, Tap the Fix & manage tab, and then tap the Bin or Trash option

Contacts deleted within the past 30 days on your device will be listed here. If you've deleted a contact recently, tap the contact in the Bin or Trash folder

In the next menu, tap Recover to restore it to your contact list

For contacts deleted over 30 days, tap Fix & manage > Restore contacts and click Restore to restore contacts from a previous Google backup

The important thing to note is that you can only restore your contacts if you have a Google Account with contact syncing turned on
